Washougal, WA

Washougal is the perfect town to slow down and enjoy a good stroll. This town has a pedestrian tunnel that leads you to the Columbia River Dike which features miles of walking and biking trails with stunning views. The Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge offers over 1000 acres along the Columbia River that nature enthusiasts are sure to enjoy. 

To the East, the Cape Horn Trail is a favorite of hikers due to it’s gorgeous views. If you like to go a little faster and mountain biking is more your speed, the Washougal MX park now hosts the annual Race For the Future and is quickly becoming a new favorite for bikers as well. Just minutes from Portland, this town is accessible while keeping it’s small town charm.
